These terms are an agreement between you and 18287783 Canada Corporation ("Opportunity Dispatch", "we"). You accept them when you click "I accept" to create an account. If you use opportunitydispatch.com without an account, including by asking for a sample briefing, these terms apply to that use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Opportunity Dispatch sends briefings about the stocks you choose to follow, based on SEC filings and published news. It also offers other briefings and pages, such as investor day coverage, executive purchases and IPO filings. What you receive depends on your plan. Features may change or be withdrawn, and briefings may be late or missing.
2. Information, not advice
The service provides information only. It is not investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. Investing comes with a risk of loss; do your own research before you act. Our Disclaimer is part of these terms; please read it.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
- You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that address secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in.
- Give us your own name, your own email address and the country you live in, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- One account per person. Do not create accounts by automated means.
4. Plans and payment
- Prices and what each plan includes are shown on the Pricing page at the time you subscribe. The Free plan costs nothing.
- Payments are taken by Stripe, our payment processor.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page or by writing to [email protected]. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with a new paid subscription, write to [email protected] within 7 days of your first payment on a monthly plan, or within 30 days of your first payment on an annual plan, and we will refund that payment in full, no questions asked. The guarantee applies to your first payment, not to renewals.
- Changes to prices and plans. We may add to a plan at any time. If we raise the price of your plan or reduce what it includes, the change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will email you at least 30 days before. Until then you keep your current price and what your plan included when you last paid. The Free plan may change at any time.
- If you move to a lower plan, the limits of the lower plan apply from the date of the change.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the service for your own personal or internal business purposes. You may not:
- resell, republish or redistribute briefings or their contents, apart from occasionally sharing an individual briefing with someone you know;
- copy the service's content in bulk, by scraping or otherwise, or use it to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model;
- try to gain access to accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or interfere with the service;
- use the service in a way that breaks the law.
6. Our content and third-party sources
The briefings, recaps, deep dives, the website and its design belong to Opportunity Dispatch. Filings, articles and other sources we link to belong to their owners, and we are not responsible for what they say or for the websites they are on.
7. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to make briefings accurate, but we do not promise that they are accurate, complete or timely, or that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
8. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Opportunity Dispatch is not liable for any investment loss, lost profit or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service or from reliance on anything in it. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CA$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, or by writing to [email protected].
We may close any account at any time, for any reason, by emailing you. If you are on a paid plan, we will refund the part of your current billing period that you have not used, worked out by the day. If we close an account because these terms were broken, no refund is owed.
We may also end the service; if we do, we will refund any period you have paid for and not received.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or on the website before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change. Earlier versions are kept, and you can ask us for the version that applied on any date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario, unless the consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
